About Peter

Multipotentialite with "I fix it" attitude

Peter in few words:

  • Experienced, empathic and patient person.
  • 50 years of handcrafting experience and autodidactic learning.
  • Started crafts in 1972 and learned from my dad.
  • Starting around 1974, I began collecting technical items from specific trash containers, which our municipality has put up. By dismounting things I found out how they worked.
  • First moped in 1976, started mechanic work.
  • Apprenticeship as mechanic  from 1980 to 1984.
  • 1982 I got my first car, a Vokswagen bubble which I started to repair myself.
  • I began to work with wood in 1984.
  • In 1991 I finished my 2 years full time education with diploma as Mechanical Engineer on associate level.

Peter in more words

  • Technical  interest
Since my early childhood I have a strong urge to find out how technical things are working. By this I created a profound understanding of mechanical, wooden and even electrical items, that I am now able to repair.
  • Character traits
I am an honest, impulsive, very sensitive person, with a good intuition and a strong connection to my emotions, as well as a healthy connection to my spirituality.
  • Many different abilities
I am a so-called “Multipotentialite” which means that I am blessed with many talents in many different areas, which from the outside can seem incompatible. In addition to my broad variety of craftsmanship skills, I like to share my life experience, which is as wide as my interests.
  • What I love
There are two things, that really make my heart sing. One is building drums and drumming on them, mainly in a shamanic way of longer monotone rhythms. The other one is riding my motorcycle. Since I was 12 years old, there were only 2 years in my life, where I did not have a motorcycle.
  • Daily life
I consider myself a very lucky person as am able to integrate so many of my abilities into my daily life. By giving space to all of these areas in my life, i live in balance and harmony between the spiritual, the emotional, the intellectual and the physical aspects of my life, which is my way to stay true to my own, personal path.
  • Strength and clarity in nature
I spend as much of my time as possible in nature, especially in the woods and always find strength and clarity here when things in life get difficult. The forest means a lot to me and it is there, and in nature in general, that I easiest get into contact with my true self. I believe the forest is one of the best healers we have available.
  • The connection of the heart
In my path through life my heart is my best guid, and I follow my heart as much as possible. I am never completely caught up in certain paths or systems (belief systems, lifestyles, trends, etc.). I take what feels right for me and leave the rest. However, much of my inspiration comes from the Blackfoot nation, a first nations tribe in Canada, where I spend some time every summer, since 2007.
